First Year Engineering plays important role in building the foundation of an engineering graduate and
learn basics of all branches along with Mathematics, Chemistry & Physics. We focus on the academic
performance as well as industry interaction to develop overall personality of the students. The
competent and enthusiastic faculty demonstrates unique team work for enhancing the academic and
industrial knowledge among the students.
Overall development of the students we conduct various co-curricular & extra-curricular activities, effective planning, organizing, coordinating and teaching learning process. The department has well-furnished class rooms, laboratories and necessary infrastructural facilities Applied Sciences are the base of Engineering. The Department of First Year Engineering Department aims to help students develop strong fundamentals in all basic courses. With sound fundamentals, learning advanced and specialized courses become easier for students. Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Communication Skills and ICC are the subjects taught at different stages of the four year course. The Department has a team of committed faculty members with proven skills in their respective fields and state-of-the-art Information in this entire Subject.
Applied Physics and Applied Chemistry are taught at first year level. The laboratories are well equipped to carry various analysis and conduct advanced practical in the field of Solid State Physics and Optics. Applied Mathematics, the core subject of Engineering, is taught up to pre-final year level. The subject helps students learn methods in Mathematical Modeling such as Classical, Numerical and Optimization techniques. The students are trained to incorporate mathematical models in Engineering situations and find plausible solutions for the same.
Department of First Year Engineering is also actively involved in pursuing research activities. The Department has the distinction of publishing and presenting maximum number of technical papers in peer reviewed national, international journals and conferences.
To introduce innovative teaching methodologies and evaluation strategies
To give the best practical knowledge to the students for their enhancement
To guide students in personality development and communicational skills
To provide students with his strong foundation in mathematical scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to identify, analyze and solve real life problems and to prepare them for graduate in their specific domain
Studies of mathematics and physics have demonstrated that students in first year engineering programs perform better in their upper level classes as well as in daily life
Students will get laboratories and projects in chemistry given throughout the sequence, are designed to provide as broad an introduction to engineering as possible
Students will be intellectually and technically equipped with well defined basic knowledge, sills and ethics by studying basic electrical engineering, engineering graphics and computational skills
Educating the students with excellent written and oral communication sills, including presentation skills and technical writing for effectively interacting with outside needs.
